Why calisthenics and not weight training. (Calisthenics Vs. Weight Training)

A lot of people see calisthenics as cardio training like burpees and jogging. However, calisthenics is much more than just that, by using your own bodyweight, you target all the same muscles as you would at the gym with expensive machines and heavyweights. The best thing about calisthenics is that it provides an easy and inexpensive way of working out and it is very easy to get in a good shape because you can do it from home

16 week beginner program (main product)

I get asked this question a lot, which one is better, calisthenics or weight lifting and there seem to be a battle going on between the weightlifting community and the calisthenics community on which one is better. But there is not really one that is better than the other as they both have benefits. I have just chosen to use calisthenics to get my muscle because it is easy and I could do it from my home. But I have seen some amazing transformation using weights as well. I just really like the concepts of moving my own bodyweight around because I think it makes me more athletic when I have the strengths to move my body.

However, there are two sides to the coin. Some people say that there is one major downfall to calisthenics and that is that it is more difficult to isolate a particular muscle. For example, if you are doing a pushup, you are mostly targeting your chest but you are also using your triceps and you back to do the exercise. But I don’t see this as a bad thing because if you are using more muscles to perform an exercise, you are also burning more calories. That will in a long run lead to a shredded physique.
